Dabur India has no product recall on record with FSSAI, but it has been at the centre of the regulator's campaign against '100%' claims twice. The first round began on 3 Jun 2024, when FSSAI directed every food business to remove '100% fruit juice' wording from labels; Dabur's Real range was the most visible brand affected and the company contested the directive in the Delhi High Court, where FSSAI filed an affidavit in 2025 calling the claim false.
The second round came in early August 2026. FSSAI ordered a halt to the sale of seven Dabur products. Honey, Cow Ghee, Apple Cider Vinegar, Virgin Coconut Oil, Sesame Oil, Coconut Water and Coconut Milk, on the ground that '100% Natural', '100% Pure' and '100% Organic' are scientifically unverifiable claims. Dabur moved the Delhi High Court, which stayed the order on 7 Aug 2026. Dabur has said it is removing the claims while it litigates and has accused the regulator of favouring certain manufacturers.
The searcher's phrase 'fssai banned dabur' therefore overstates what happened: this was a labelling order, it never took effect, and no safety finding was made.
