Blinkit has had two facility-level licence actions. In 2025 the licence of a Pune facility was revoked; the date and grounds are not in the sources held here. On 7 Aug 2026 FSSAI suspended the licence of Blinkit's Malad West dark store in Mumbai after inspectors reported cockroach infestation and expired goods on the premises, as reported by MediaNama in its round-up of quick-commerce enforcement.
These are actions against premises under the Food Safety and Standards (Licensing and Registration) Regulations, not against the Blinkit platform, which continued to operate elsewhere. They form part of a broader 2026 push by FSSAI and state authorities on the warehouses behind ten-minute delivery: Zepto's Hoskote warehouse near Bengaluru was sealed around 11 Aug 2026 and Swiggy Instamart received nine notices in July 2026 over expired and spoilt items.
For customers the relevant detail is the finding of expired stock. No product recall was involved.
