Swiggy Instamart drew nine notices from FSSAI in July 2026, the largest count of any quick-commerce platform in the regulator's summer inspection drive. Business Standard's 5 Aug 2026 overview of the crackdown reported the notices as concerning expired and rotten items and related storage lapses at Instamart facilities. The individual notice references, the facilities involved and Swiggy's responses are not in the sources held here.
Unlike Blinkit, whose Malad West dark store lost its licence on 7 Aug 2026, and Zepto, whose Hoskote warehouse was sealed around 11 Aug 2026, Instamart has no reported suspension or sealing. Its record for the period is notices only.
The same drive produced notices to KFC India over hygiene and to Flipkart Minutes over insects in a delivered item, indicating that regulators were sampling across restaurant chains and delivery platforms rather than targeting one company. No product recall or platform-wide action against Swiggy is on record.
