Zydus Wellness, the consumer arm of the Zydus pharmaceutical group, sells Complan, Glucon-D, Sugar Free and Nycil, and also markets milk powder under the Sampriti name. On 1 Aug 2023 the Bureau of Indian Standards published a recall order for Sampriti skimmed milk powder made under IS 13334:2014 after a sample failed the standard. The order PDF on the BIS site states the parameter and the lots; both are to be quoted from it.
The recall is confined to that product. None of Zydus Wellness's other brands appears in BIS alerts, in publicly reported FoSCoS recalls or in FSSAI's 2026 notices.
Separately, the Citizens Protein Project 2, published in November 2025, tested Complan NUTRIGO and reported arsenic at 0.53 mg/kg, the highest arsenic figure in that study, along with sucrose of 8.9 g per 100 g not declared and taurine at 39.5 g per 100 g. That is an independent laboratory finding with no regulatory action attached, recorded on its own page.
