In its January 2025 alert, the Central Drugs Standard Control Organisation listed 145 drug batches that failed quality tests, 52 at central laboratories and 93 at state drug-testing laboratories, from 102 manufacturers across 113 products. The most common failure was assay, and the most-represented manufacturing state was Himachal Pradesh. Products flagged include Compound Sodium Lactate Injection I.P (Ringer?s Lactate I.P), Gentamicin Injection IP- 2ml, Mupirocin Ointment IP.
