In its December 2024 alert, the Central Drugs Standard Control Organisation listed 135 drug batches that failed quality tests, 51 at central laboratories and 84 at state drug-testing laboratories, from 112 manufacturers across 112 products. The most common failure was dissolution, and the most-represented manufacturing state was Himachal Pradesh. Products flagged include Metoprolol Succinate Prolonged Release Tablets IP, Rabeprazole Injection IP, Povidone- Iodine Ointment USP.
