Forever Living's Ultra soy-based protein shake, sold through direct selling, was reported by the Citizens Protein Project 1 to contain aflatoxin at trace level. The study distinguished trace detections from products where aflatoxin exceeded the permitted limit; this product fell in the former group, and its protein content was not flagged. Soya is a recognised aflatoxin-risk crop, and a trace finding in one sample reflects raw-material quality in that lot. No FSSAI action on the product is on record, and no company response has been located. The precise figure and the study's detection threshold are to be quoted from the paper.
