FSSAI licence suspensions 2026: Marche Retail, Dior Pharmaceuticals, Rehaan Healthcare, Matri Drinking Water, Ganesh Products, Paradise Distilleries

Licence suspension is FSSAI's sharpest routine tool: under the Licensing and Registration Regulations a food business whose premises fail inspection can be ordered to stop operating until it fixes the problem. 2026 has produced a steady sequence of such orders, most announced through press notes.

In July 2026 FSSAI suspended the licences of two nutraceutical manufacturers, Dior Pharmaceuticals and Rehaan Healthcare, for deficiencies in good manufacturing practice and food safety management systems, and of Matri Drinking Water in Tripura for storing product alongside non-food material. On 23 Aug 2026 it suspended Marche Retail Pvt Ltd in Delhi for 30 days over hygiene and record-keeping, an action Business Today reported as following scrutiny of chains including Burger King and Pizza Hut. On 16 Sep 2026 three paneer units of Ganesh Products Pvt Ltd were suspended after inspectors found pests and a bleaching agent; 7,600 kg of paneer was destroyed. On 18 Sep 2026 Paradise Distilleries Pvt Ltd in Delhi was suspended for 15 days over expired flavours and colours.
