In its May 2026 alert, the Central Drugs Standard Control Organisation listed 162 drug batches that failed quality tests, 44 at central laboratories and 118 at state drug-testing laboratories, from 140 manufacturers across 119 products. The most common failure was assay, and the most-represented manufacturing state was Himachal Pradesh. Products flagged include Telmisartan Tablets IP 40 mg, Amoxycillin and Potassium Clavulanate Tablets IP, Vitamin E Acetate Soft Gelatin Caspules.
