The Bureau of Indian Standards published a public alert for a recall of packaged drinking water sold under the Raahul brand, manufactured by Wateri, Zira, Ferozepur, Punjab, under BIS licence 9700176720 for IS 14543:2016. The order is dated 16 May 2023. The order names the non-conforming parameter as Coliform; aerobic microbial count; yeast and mould (clause 5.2.2, 5.2.6, 5.2.7 of the standard). The alert covers lot IPN007, manufacturing date 09-02-2023.
The BIS web table lists IS 13334 (Part 1) against this row, which is the milk powder standard; the product is packaged drinking water, so the applicable standard is IS 14543:2016 (being verified)
