NakPro Whey Platinum was one of 34 whey protein powders tested in the Citizens Protein Project 2, a crowd-funded study published in Medicine on 14 Nov 2025. The laboratory measured 68.02 g protein per 100 g. The label claim, read from the pack photo in the study's supplementary master chart, is 81.96 g per 100 g for all flavours (90.00 g for unflavoured) on the pack. This was the largest protein shortfall in the study's nutraceutical group: 68.02 g per 100 g measured against 81.96 g on the label for flavoured variants, a 17% gap. The paper notes the biggest nutraceutical deficit as 17%, which matches this product. Every contaminant panel was clean: metals, aflatoxin, progesterone, added sugar and taurine were all below the limit of quantification.

The study is independent laboratory work, not a regulatory action. It tested one batch of each product. Per-product figures are from the project's public results site and the paper's supplement; the paper itself reports group averages. No FSSAI action on this product is on record.

What this means for you

A label gap, not a safety finding

The laboratory found less protein than the pack claims, 17% below label. Nothing harmful was detected. The study's concern is accuracy of the number on the label, which FSSAI rules expect to be within tolerance.

One batch, one study

This is an independent, crowd-funded study of a single batch bought in 2025. It is not an FSSAI finding and FSSAI has taken no action on this product. Ask the brand for the batch certificate of analysis if you want a second number.
