The Bureau of Indian Standards published a public alert for a recall of packaged drinking water sold under the Serene brand, manufactured by Acme Foods, Dugri, Ludhiana, Punjab, under BIS licence 9800039018 for IS 14543:2016. The order is dated 9 Nov 2021. The order PDF is a scanned image and the non-conforming parameter could not be read from it. The alert covers 1 L and 200 ml PET bottles, manufacturing date 01-03-2022.
BIS lists two Serene orders dated 9 Nov 2021: one for 1 L bottles (manufacturing date shown as 01-03-2022 on the web table, which post-dates the order and is being verified) and one for 200 ml bottles made on 10 Sep 2021.
