CDSCO: Not of Standard Quality (NSQ) alerts, public portal (monthly lists from state and central labs)
No regulator has acted on this finding. It comes from a published study or a private testing company, and the brand may dispute it.
Scope. A record here does not by itself mean a product or company is unsafe or banned today. Regulatory actions can apply to one batch, one formulation, one period or one state. Always check the linked government document for the current position, and tell us if something is out of date. How we label records.
Below: Blacklisted's explanationWe explain what the test or study found. No regulator has acted on it.
Key facts
- Regulator record
- None found for Nykaa Cosmetics or FSN E-Commerce Ventures
- Marketplace note
- The 2026 import cancellations (Kult App, Skintl) concerned other online sellers; Nykaa as a platform is not named
- Why people ask
- Questions about fake products on marketplaces and about imported brands sold through the site
Nykaa is both a cosmetics retailer and a brand owner (Nykaa Cosmetics, Kay Beauty and others). In the records we read, CDSCO's monthly lab alerts from January 2019 to August 2026 and its public notices, no Nykaa-branded product and no action against the company appears. The two cosmetics import cancellations of 2026 concerned Kult App and Skintl Enterprises, unrelated online sellers.
For imported brands bought through any marketplace the check is the same: a lawful import carries the importer's name and a CDSCO registration number on the pack.
What this means for you
What 'no record' means
No CDSCO alert, failed state lab test, import cancellation or court case names the brand in the records we read. It does not certify that every product is safe; it says no regulator has acted.
One batch, not the brand
A failed lab test names a batch number and the lab that tested it. It does not mean every pack of that product is affected. Check the batch on your pack against the one in the record.
This is a record of official orders, not medical advice. Do not stop a prescribed medicine without asking your doctor or pharmacist.
Common questions
Are products on Nykaa genuine?
That is a question about the seller, not the regulator. No regulator action names Nykaa. For imports, look for the CDSCO registration number on the pack.
