Key facts
- Regulator record (cosmetics)
- None found
- Note
- Himalaya's ayurvedic medicines are a separate category with their own record on this site
- Maker
- Himalaya Wellness Company, Bengaluru
Himalaya Wellness sells both ayurvedic medicines, licensed by the Karnataka AYUSH authority, and cosmetics such as the Purifying Neem Face Wash, which fall under the Cosmetics Rules 2020. This record covers the cosmetics. We found no Himalaya cosmetic in CDSCO's monthly lab alerts from January 2019 to August 2026 and no public notice concerning the company's cosmetics.
The ayurvedic side, including Liv.52, has its own record in the AYUSH section.
What this means for you
What 'no record' means
No CDSCO alert, failed state lab test, import cancellation or court case names the brand in the records we read. It does not certify that every product is safe; it says no regulator has acted.
One batch, not the brand
A failed lab test names a batch number and the lab that tested it. It does not mean every pack of that product is affected. Check the batch on your pack against the one in the record.
This is a record of official orders, not medical advice. Do not stop a prescribed medicine without asking your doctor or pharmacist.
Common questions
