Dart is a headache and pain tablet from Juggat Pharma, sold mainly in southern India, and it shares its legal story with Saridon.
It was among the 328 fixed-dose combinations prohibited by the Health Ministry on 7 September 2018 after the Drugs Technical Advisory Board reviewed the list sent back by the Supreme Court. Juggat Pharma challenged the order. In February 2019 the Supreme Court granted interim relief to Dart together with Saridon and Piriton expectorant, letting the products stay on sale until the petitions are decided.
That interim order is still the operative position as of 19 September 2026. The 2018 notification has not been withdrawn, and the final hearing has not been reported, so the correct description is "banned on paper, on sale by court order".
Two details need checking before this page is treated as final. The content plan does not record which S.O. number under the 2018 wave applies to Dart, and the product's composition should be confirmed from the current label rather than from older listings. Searchers in Kannada and Tamil regularly ask why the tablet was banned; the answer is the same as for Saridon, a DTAB finding of no therapeutic justification for the combination, which the courts have yet to rule on.
