In its December 2023 alert, the Central Drugs Standard Control Organisation listed 78 drug batches that failed quality tests, 50 at central laboratories and 28 at state drug-testing laboratories, from 56 manufacturers across 63 products. The most common failure was assay, and the most-represented manufacturing state was Himachal Pradesh. Products flagged include Heparin Sodium Injection IP 5000 IU/5ml, HEPARIN SODIUM INJECTION IP 5000 IU/5ML, Calcium Carbonate with Vitamin D3 Tablets IP.
