In its January 2024 alert, the Central Drugs Standard Control Organisation listed 46 drug batches that failed quality tests, 33 at central laboratories and 13 at state drug-testing laboratories, from 34 manufacturers across 41 products. The most common failure was assay, and the most-represented manufacturing state was Himachal Pradesh. Products flagged include Cefixime Oral Suspension IP 50mg/5ml, Vitamin A Oral Solution 100 ml, Trypsin, Bromelain & Rutoside Trihydrate Tablets.
