The Bureau of Indian Standards published a public alert for a recall of packaged drinking water sold under the Pasumai Aqua brand, manufactured by AS Minerals, Tiruchendur, Thoothukudi, Tamil Nadu, under BIS licence CM/L 4753978 for IS 14543:2016. The order is dated 20 Mar 2023. The order names the non-conforming parameter as Coliform (clause 5.2.2 of the standard). The alert covers 1 L PET bottles, manufacturing date 10-01-2023.
