In its December 2022 alert, the Central Drugs Standard Control Organisation listed 70 drug batches that failed quality tests, 42 at central laboratories and 28 at state drug-testing laboratories, from 43 manufacturers across 48 products. The most common failure was assay, and the most-represented manufacturing state was Himachal Pradesh. Products flagged include CSP (Cough Syrup for Throat & Chesty Coughs) 100 ml, RL 500 ml, Compound Sodium Lactate Injection IP (Ringer Lactate Solution for Injection I.P.), Sodium Valproate Tablets I.P. 200 mg.
