In its January 2023 alert, the Central Drugs Standard Control Organisation listed 66 drug batches that failed quality tests, 31 at central laboratories and 35 at state drug-testing laboratories, from 47 manufacturers across 50 products. The most common failure was assay, and the most-represented manufacturing state was Himachal Pradesh. Products flagged include Hydroxyzine HCl IP /BP, Levocetirizine Dihydrochloride Syrup 30 ml, Zinc Sulphate Oral Solution I.P., 100ml.
