In its August 2021 alert, the Central Drugs Standard Control Organisation listed 36 drug batches that failed quality tests, 18 at central laboratories and 18 at state drug-testing laboratories, from 25 manufacturers across 26 products. The most common failure was dissolution, and the most-represented manufacturing state was Himachal Pradesh. Products flagged include Folic Acid & Ferrous Sulphate Tablets I.P. (IFA Large), Paracetamol Tablets IP 500 mg. (TEMPNIL-500), Favimax - 400 (Favipiravir Tablets 400 mg).
