In its September 2021 alert, the Central Drugs Standard Control Organisation listed 42 drug batches that failed quality tests, 21 at central laboratories and 21 at state drug-testing laboratories, from 32 manufacturers across 35 products. The most common failure was assay, and the most-represented manufacturing state was Himachal Pradesh. Products flagged include Sterile Hypodermic Syringe 5ml, OXYTOCIN INJECTION IP, Atenolol Tablets IP 50 mg.
