Rednex Pharmaceuticals is the Ahmedabad manufacturer identified in WHO Medical Product Alert N°5/2025 as the maker of Respifresh TR, one of three Indian cough syrups found contaminated with diethylene glycol in October 2025. The Gujarat Food and Drug Control Administration suspended production at the firm along with Shape Pharma, maker of ReLife. Puducherry's drugs control department banned the sale of Respi Fresh (Rednex) on 23 January 2026 as not of standard quality. A Puducherry order attributes Respifresh-TR to Edkem Pharmaceuticals, a conflict with the WHO alert that has not been resolved in our sources.
