Our team has checked this record against the published reports, last on 10 October 2026. The government order itself is not published online, or we have not found it yet, so we link the best public report. If you have the order, send it to us and we will link it instead.
Scope. A record here does not by itself mean a product or company is unsafe or banned today. Regulatory actions can apply to one batch, one formulation, one period or one state. Always check the linked government document for the current position, and tell us if something is out of date. How we label records.

Key facts
- Company
- Dr Reddy's Laboratories
- Product
- Celevida GLP+
- Stage
- Show-cause notice; no penalty or finding reported
- Example claim in the notices
- 'High protein support for lean muscle preservation during GLP-1/GIP therapies'
- Another example claim
- 'Imported from Europe for purity'
On 8 Oct 2026 ETV Bharat and PGurus reported that FSSAI had sent show-cause notices over protein-related claims, and that Dr Reddy's Laboratories was one of the recipients, in connection with Celevida GLP+. Five other recipients were named: Nestle Health Science, Tirupati Wellness, Amazon Seller Services, Flipkart and Netmeds.
The reports quote two claims as examples: 'high protein support for lean muscle preservation during GLP-1/GIP therapies' and 'imported from Europe for purity'. They give these for the notices as a group. We have not seen the notice sent to Dr Reddy's, so we do not say which claim, if either, was put to Celevida GLP+.
The stage matters. A show-cause notice asks for an explanation and is not a finding. No penalty, stop-sale or finding has been reported against Dr Reddy's or the product.

Watch for the next step
FSSAI has to consider the company's reply. This page will be updated if it decides.
This is a record of official orders, not medical advice. Do not stop a prescribed medicine without asking your doctor or pharmacist.
