In its April 2023 alert, the Central Drugs Standard Control Organisation listed 36 drug batches that failed quality tests, 22 at central laboratories and 14 at state drug-testing laboratories, from 29 manufacturers across 34 products. The most common failure was assay, and the most-represented manufacturing state was Himachal Pradesh. Products flagged include Paracetamol Tablets I.P. 500 mg, AMLODIPINE AND ATENOLOL TABLETS IP (ALAMO-AT), Ziten Tablets (Teneligliptin Tablets IP 20 mg).
