In its August 2022 alert, the Central Drugs Standard Control Organisation listed 44 drug batches that failed quality tests, 32 at central laboratories and 12 at state drug-testing laboratories, from 38 manufacturers across 39 products. The most common failure was assay, and the most-represented manufacturing state was Himachal Pradesh. Products flagged include RL ? 500 ml, Compound Sodium Lactate Injection IP (Ringer Lactate Solution for Injection), Vitamin D3 Chewable Tablets 60,000 IU, Velgut (Prebiotic & Probiotic Capsules).
