In its February 2021 alert, the Central Drugs Standard Control Organisation listed 15 drug batches that failed quality tests, 14 at central laboratories and 1 at state drug-testing laboratories, from 15 manufacturers across 15 products. The most common failure was assay, and the most-represented manufacturing state was Uttarakhand. Products flagged include ULGEL ? A 200 ml (Magaldrate, Simethicone & Oxetacaine Oral Suspension), Theopenam -1g (Meropenem Injection I.P.), Rosuvas 20 (Rosuvastatin Tablets I.P.).
