In its January 2021 alert, the Central Drugs Standard Control Organisation listed 16 drug batches that failed quality tests, 14 at central laboratories and 2 at state drug-testing laboratories, from 15 manufacturers across 16 products. The most common failure was assay, and the most-represented manufacturing state was Himachal Pradesh. Products flagged include VEDARK INSTANT HAND SANITIZER, Tolvat 30 (Tolvaptan Tablets 30 mg), Ontic Syrup (Ondansetron Oral Solution I.P- 30 ml).
