In its September 2024 alert, the Central Drugs Standard Control Organisation listed 71 drug batches that failed quality tests, 49 at central laboratories and 22 at state drug-testing laboratories, from 54 manufacturers across 63 products. The most common failure was assay, and the most-represented manufacturing state was Himachal Pradesh. Products flagged include Heparin Sodium Injection IP 5000 IU / 5ml (Hepathin 5000 Injection 5 ml / vial), Cefpodoxime Tablets IP 200 mg (Monocef-O 200), Yogaraja Guggulu Tablet.
