In its June 2021 alert, the Central Drugs Standard Control Organisation listed 39 drug batches that failed quality tests, 26 at central laboratories and 13 at state drug-testing laboratories, from 32 manufacturers across 37 products. The most common failure was assay, and the most-represented manufacturing state was Himachal Pradesh. Products flagged include Coldbest PC SYRUP (Paracetamol, Phenylephrine Hydrochloride & Chlorpheniramine Maleate Syrup, 60 ml), TELMISARTAN TABLETS I.P. 40 mg (TELMICEPT-40 TABLETS), SESTIL - AD (Loperamide Hydrochloride Dispersible Tablets).
