Inducare Pharma, Jejuri: licence cancelled on 8 Aug 2026 (separate record)

In 2026 Maharashtra FDA turned to ayurvedic manufacturers. Open magazine reported in Aug 2026 that the regulator had inspected 434 ayurvedic units, issued 135 show-cause notices and permanently cancelled 10 licences for failures against Schedule T of the Drugs and Cosmetics Rules, which sets good manufacturing practice (GMP) requirements.

The report gives counts but no list of units. The one firm we can name from other sources is Inducare Pharma of Jejuri, whose licence was cancelled on 8 Aug 2026 after fungus, insects and larvae were reported in six products.

Inspection counts and notices are not findings against any brand, and the names of the other cancellations are not in our sources.

What this means for you

A notice is a first step

A show-cause notice asks a firm to explain. It is not a finding, a suspension or a ban.

Firms are not named

The report gives counts, not names, other than the Inducare case. We do not attribute the cancellations to any brand.

This is a record of official orders, not medical advice. Do not stop a prescribed medicine without asking your doctor or pharmacist.
